An Art Deco ring comprised of barrel shaped nephrite with gold banding, in sterling silver and 18k. Puiforcat, France
The house was founded in 1820 in Paris by brothers Emile and Joseph-Marie Puiforcat along with thier distant cousin, Jean-Baptiste Fuchs. The Art Deco styling for which the house is best known was introduced by fourth generation family member Jean Puiforcat in the 1920s. The inventive silversmith and designer favored simple pure lines but also enjoyed blending sterling silver with precious materials such as jade, quartz, and onyx.
