Behind many of René Boivin’s most distinctive jewels was Juliette Moutard, a designer whose name is less widely known than the house she helped shape.

Trained in Paris at the École des Arts Décoratifs and the École de la Bijouterie, Moutard joined René Boivin in the 1930s, working first with Jeanne Boivin and later with Louis Girard. Her role was largely behind the scenes, but her eye for structure, volume, and bold geometry helped define the maison’s unmistakable visual language.

René Boivin’s bold sculptural sensibility is evident in this bombé cocktail ring, where polished platinum rises into a rounded architectural dome. The star-like central motif and repeated diamond-set geometric panels reflect the house’s distinctive ability to combine volume, structure, and ornament into a highly dimensional design.
