Retro crescent-shaped diamond earrings

Retro crescent-shaped diamond earrings

A pair of Retro diamond crescent-shaped clip earrings with graduated old European cut, baguette, and single cut diamonds, in palladium. Atw 3.86 cts.

Palladium was first discovered in 1803 but was not used in jewelry until the late 1930s. It remained popular amongst jewelers during World War II due to platinum being restricted to manufacturing for the war effort. Palladium is a durable, scratch-resistant, and hypoallergenic precious metal that maintains its color over time but can develop a lovely patina.
